Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln's last matchup with Prospect could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Panthers, falling 8-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since February 28, 2024.

Carina Reuterskiold spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lincoln saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keona Perez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Lincoln and nudges their season record down to 15-9. As for Prospect, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Lincoln nor Prospect have any future games scheduled.
