Nazareth Area is 8-2 against Freedom since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Blue Eagles will head out to face off against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Nazareth Area 2.9, Freedom 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Nazareth Area had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Pocono Mountain West on Monday. The Blue Eagles blew past the Panthers 10-0. The Blue Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Matt Daems was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Bryce Arfanella also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Nazareth Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Freedom waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Mountaineers.

The team relied heavily on Colin Andrews, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Freedom pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Nazareth Area, their record now sits at 10-4.

Nazareth Area couldn't quite finish off Freedom in their previous matchup back in March and fell 4-2. Can the Blue Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
