Basketball Game Preview: Keefe Tech Broncos vs. Marlborough Panthers

The Keefe Tech Broncos and the Marlborough Panthers will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Keefe Tech will head into Thursday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They took a blow against Blue Hills RVT, falling 79-33. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Keefe Tech's defeat came about despite a quality game from Logan Greenlaw, who posted 14 points. That was a full 42.4% of Keefe Tech's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Marlborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Groton-Dunstable an easy 63-41 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since January 23rd.

Keefe Tech now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Marlborough, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Keefe Tech won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, slipping by Marlborough 47-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Keefe Tech since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
