Basketball Recap: Lanesboro Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lanesboro can now relate to. They took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houston Hurricanes on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Burros in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now lost five in a row.

Houston was led to victory by Morgan Rohweder and Carter Geiwitz. Rohweder dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Geiwitz dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. Rohweder is becoming a predictor of Houston's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is 16-3 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Rodriguez, who posted nine points.

Lanesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Houston, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-8.

As of now, neither Lanesboro nor Houston have any future games scheduled.
