Canterbury has gone 9-1 against Oasis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Canterbury Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Oasis Sharks at 6:30 p.m. Canterbury knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Oasis likes a good challenge.

Canterbury took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Naples Classical 86-48. That looming 86-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oasis). They enjoyed a cozy 80-63 win over Southwest Florida Christian on Tuesday.

Oasis' win came from a few key players Canterbury will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brendan Overbaugh, who went 7 of 10 en route to 16 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zack Louzao, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points and three steals.

Oasis was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwest Florida Christian only racked up five assists.

Canterbury has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Oasis, their record is now 12-7.

Canterbury came up short against Oasis when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 59-53. Can Canterbury avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
