Football Recap: Vestavia Hills Starts Season with Win Against Westside + How To Watch

Vestavia Hills gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-7 win over the Westside Rams. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-7.

Grayson Harper went supernova, picking up 104 receiving yards and a pair of scores. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 57 yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vestavia Hills will challenge Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westside, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on T.L. Hanna at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
