Volleyball Recap: St. Augustine Comes Up Short

St. Augustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Bloodhounds when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Augustine took St. Joseph Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-18, 25-22, 20-25, 15-8.

St. Augustine's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for St. Joseph Academy, they moved to 4-9 with that victory, which also ended their seven-match losing streak.

Coincidentally, St. Augustine and St. Joseph Academy will both be playing St. Joseph the next time they take the court. The Knights will host the Flyers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bloodhounds will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on the 28th.
