Basketball Recap: Roosevelt's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Roosevelt came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Aurora Greenmen by a score of 59-51 on Friday. The Rough Riders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Roosevelt had a senior duo take command as Jaden Dennison posted 23 points and Brian Dugan Ii earned 16 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dennison has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Peeps, who had six points and 11 boards.

Roosevelt's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Aurora, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Roosevelt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 38-32 victory against Cuyahoga Heights on the 14th. As for Aurora, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-51 loss against Crestwood on the 14th.
