Basketball Recap: Greyhills Academy Knights vs. Round Valley Elks
The Greyhills Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 82-12 loss at the hands of Round Valley. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Greyhills Academy of the 73-7 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Greyhills Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Ferlando Huskie and DeShawn Begay. Huskie scored six points along with two steals, while Begay scored no points. Huskie is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.
Greyhills Academy's loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-20. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.7 points per game. As for Round Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-8.
Greyhills Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Round Valley will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Redskins at 3:00 p.m. St. Johns has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 482 points over their last seven contests.
