Baseball Recap: Creighton Prep Comes Up Short

Kearney hit Creighton Prep with a four-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Junior Jays fell 7-2 to the Bearcats. Junior Jays fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bearcats since on Friday.

Creighton Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Cosgrove, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Creighton Prep now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Kearney, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
