The Allen East Mustangs can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They put the hurt on Botkins with a sharp 50-27 win. Winning may never get old, but Allen East sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Allen East's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rilynn Jones led the charge by scoring 19 points along with three steals. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Soraya Jackson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Allen East is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Botkins, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Allen East will be playing at home against Bluffton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Allen East is facing Bluffton at the right time seeing as Bluffton is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Botkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
