Volleyball Game Preview: Grove City Greyhounds vs. Chillicothe Cavaliers

Grove City is 0-3 against Chillicothe since March of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Greyhounds will welcome the Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Grove City came up short against Ross County Christian Academy and fell 3-1.

Grove City started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 29-27, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Chillicothe waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Chillicothe was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-10, 25-12.

Chillicothe's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Grove City, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Grove City might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Chillicothe in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Greyhounds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
