The Montgomery Aztecs will challenge the Helix Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Montgomery lost 3-0 to Foothills Christian on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Helix came up short against San Marcos on Saturday and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Helix's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Montgomery, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-5.
