Softball Recap: Broadway Has No Trouble Against East Hardy

Broadway barely beat East Hardy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gobblers blew past the Cougars 17-1 on Wednesday. The Gobblers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Broadway pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for East Hardy, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Coming up, Broadway will challenge Amherst County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Gobblers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for East Hardy, they will venture away from home to challenge Pendleton County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
