Softball Recap: Lake Havasu Comes Up Short

Lake Havasu was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Corona del Sol Aztecs, falling 14-2.

Lake Havasu saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Martin, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits Martin has posted since back in March of 2024.

Lake Havasu's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Corona del Sol, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Lake Havasu will be taking part in a tournament against Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.27 runs per game on average), something Lake Havasu will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Corona del Sol, they will take on JW North in a tournament on Friday. JW North will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
