Softball Recap: Sissonville Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Sissonville was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravenswood Red Devils.

Jaidyn Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits.

Sissonville's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Ravenswood, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sissonville will face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Ravenswood, they will venture away from home to square off against Wahama at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
