Baseball Game Preview: Legacy Christian Academy Lions vs. North Stars

The Legacy Christian Academy Lions will square off against the North Stars at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. North took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Legacy Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Friday. Legacy Christian Academy came out on top against Mira Monte by a score of 7-2.

Jackson Balden made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Balden was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Kirstine, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for North's offense. They fell 4-0 to Delano on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Stars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Legacy Christian Academy's record now sits at 2-0. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Legacy Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 12-4 loss they got from North in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Legacy Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
