Softball Recap: Dutch Fork Wins Going Away Against Rock Hill

Dutch Fork never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Rock Hill Bearcats 11-0. The Silver Foxes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

Layla Peppers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Dutch Fork got a massive performance out of Haley Alderman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Alderman a new career-high. Abigail Pouliot was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Dutch Fork was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Dutch Fork's record now sits at 9-12. As for Rock Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Dutch Fork will venture away from home to take on Dorman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rock Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
