            Volleyball Recap: Kodiak Bears vs. Palmer Moose        
        
		
        
        
            Kodiak was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palmer Moose.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 16-25, 25-18,  25-16.
 Maggie Hubert paced Kodiak's offense, picking up nine kills. Hubert got some help from  Fremela Garcia and her 16 assists. Finally,  Hubert was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.
  Kasey Frank was the offensive standout of the  contest as she  had 14  digs. Those  14  digs gave  her a new career-high.
Kodiak's loss dropped their record down to 5-27-3. As for Palmer, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-15-2 record  this season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Palmer beat Kodiak by a score of  3-1 on Saturday.
