            Baseball Recap: Temecula Valley Golden Bears vs. Murrieta Mesa Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Temecula Valley blew Murrieta Mesa out of the water the last time the pair played, but  on Monday Murrieta Mesa got their revenge. The Golden Bears fell just short of the Rams by a score of  3-1. The Golden Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
 Chase Hilt put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 Hilt wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Ryan Recio, who  went 1-for-3 with one  RBI.

 Coming up, Murrieta Mesa will welcome Woodcrest Christian  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Temecula Valley will be paying especially close attention to the Rams'  matchup: after the Rams face off against the Royals, they'll take on Temecula Valley again  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
