Proviso West fought the good fight in their overtime match against Glenbard West on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1. Proviso West have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Proviso West's loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1. As for Glenbard West, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3-1.

Proviso West and Glenbard West should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Panthers will take on Wheaton North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (77 vs. 276). Meanwhile, Glenbard West (ranked 13th) will meet Glenbard South (ranked 244th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
