Baseball Game Preview: Sumter Gamecocks vs. Ridge View Blazers

For the second straight game, Sumter will face off against Ridge View. The Gamecocks will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Blazers at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sumter has three straight wins, Ridge View has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Sumter made easy work of Ridge View and carried off a 15-1 victory.

For Ridge View's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Darren Westbrook, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Jordan Morton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Sumter's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Ridge View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
