Football Recap: Max Byrom Leads North Cobb Christian's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

North Cobb Christian blew Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 47-44. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Despite the loss, North Cobb Christian still got an impressive performance from Cooper Bazarsky, who rushed for 131 yards and one TD.

North Cobb Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Max Byrom, Jake Orton, and Mykah Wilson picked up one apiece. Orton also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

Darian Keefe produced another solid effort throwing for 306 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 59 yards on only five carries for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe. Those 59 rushing yards gave Keefe a new career-high. Bryson Donald was Keefe's top target, picking up 19 receiving yards.

North Cobb Christian now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

North Cobb Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 39-35 defeat against Union County on the 30th. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 30-0 victory against Murray County on the 31st.
