Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heights). They claimed a resounding 64-13 win over the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-9 back in November of 2024.

Leading Heights to victory were Jazmyne Gilbert and Mira Johnson. Gilbert went 9 of 13 en route to 22 points along with eight steals and five assists, while Johnson went 8 for 18 on her way to 18 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. Johnson's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Syphard, who posted four points and four steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Heights was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 1.9 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 7.4.

Heights pushed their record up to 10-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.6 points per game. As for Cesar E. Chavez, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Heights will square off against Lamar Consolidated at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heights is facing Lamar Consolidated at the right time seeing as Lamar Consolidated is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Cesar E. Chavez, they will take on Lamar at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.
