Recap: Walker Wildcats vs. Choctawhatchee Indians
There's no place like home for the Walker Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Choctawhatchee on Friday and snuck past 55-52. The victory was just what Walker needed coming off of a 66-33 defeat in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Choctawhatchee still got an impressive performance from Robert Spells, who scored 26 points. Spells scored a full 50% of Choctawhatchee's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Jackson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Walker's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Choctawhatchee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
Walker and Dunham will face off at 1:20 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Choctawhatchee and East Ascension will face off at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. East Ascension is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
