Lake Nona won the last time they faced Colonial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions blew past the Grenadiers 15-6. Considering the Lions have won three matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Maria Trujillo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Lake Nona now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Colonial, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Lake Nona didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-9 victory against Cypress Creek on the 2nd. As for Colonial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-5 win against Freedom on the 2nd.
