Baseball Recap: Wapahani Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Wapahani waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Monroe Central Golden Bears 6-4. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Bears, too.

The team relied heavily on Eli Andrews, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Wapahani's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Acosta, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Wapahani pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Monroe Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
