Basketball Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pomona extended their losing streak to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-6. They had to suffer through a 61-32 loss at the hands of the Niwot Cougars. The Panthers lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 51-46 score last time.

Elias Rubio was Pomona's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Tristan Fonger held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

As for Niwot, the win got them back to even at 3-3. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

LT Lehman was the offensive standout of the contest as he shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points. Niwot is 2-1 when Lehman posts 15 or more points, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliot Wisecup, who posted eight points and six assists.

While Pomona had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
