Baseball Recap: Chelmsford Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Chelmsford rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wellesley Raiders, sneaking past 1-0. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Not much got past Matthew Stuart, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Wellesley off the board. Stuart has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chelmsford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Latham, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Chelmsford's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Wellesley, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-7 record.

Chelmsford has already played their next game, a 5-3 win against St. John's on the 11th. Wellesley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
