Volleyball Recap: Messmer Comes Up Short

Messmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves. If the Bishops were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Timberwolves when the teams met back in October of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Living Word Lutheran found their leader in sophomore Makenna Bynum, who had five aces and three digs.

Messmer's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Living Word Lutheran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.

Messmer has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lake Country Lutheran on the 17th. As for Living Word Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against University School of Milwaukee on the 17th.
