Football Game Preview: Central Noble Cougars vs. Adams Central Flying Jets

The Central Noble Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Adams Central Flying Jets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Central Noble has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Adams Central will arrive with 23 straight victories.

Central Noble is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Garrett on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cougars were dealt a 69-21 defeat at the hands of the Railroaders. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Railroaders are ranked 123rd).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nick Freeman, who picked up 155 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 67 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyton Fletcher, who threw for 340 yards and three TDs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Adams Central). They breezed past Woodlan to the tune of 57-18 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-12.

Central Noble's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Adams Central, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
