Softball Recap: Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks vs. Temple Christian Crusaders
Miller School of Albemarle proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 18) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Temple Christian Crusaders 3-1. For the Mavericks, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Crusaders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Emelia DelCarmen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 18 Ks. Those 18 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
