Basketball Recap: Gaston Takes a Loss

Gaston was the 65-58 winner over Westbrook Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gaston Bulldogs came up short against the Westbrook Christian Warriors on Monday, falling 45-24. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Westbrook Christian, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-11.

Gaston and Westbrook Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Gaston (ranked 275th) will meet Ranburne (ranked 137th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Westbrook Christian will challenge Sardis at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday down 216 places (285 vs. 69).
