Football Game Preview: Jenkins Warriors vs. West Laurens Raiders + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Dominique Johnson and Ty Cummings are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Jenkins Warriors will square off against the West Laurens Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jenkins comes in on 11 and West Laurens on 12.

Jenkins is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Peach County by a score of 38-28.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Johnson and Ashton Barton. Johnson had a solid game and gained 105 total yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Barton was balling out in the loss, rushing for 180 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Jenkins, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Johnson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, West Laurens made easy work of Oconee County on Friday and carried off a 32-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won seven matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Jenkins' victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for West Laurens, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.
