Volleyball Recap: Borger Bulldogs vs. Hereford Whitefaces
Borger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Hereford Whitefaces. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-18, 25-17.
Hereford can attribute much of their success to Karizma Trevino, who had 11 digs. Trevino is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Borger's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Hereford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borger will welcome Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Borger will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Hereford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perryton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hereford is facing Perryton at the right time seeing as Perryton is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
