Monroe had won two straight games and Janiyah Boyd did her part to make it three on Friday. The Redhawks took their game with ease, bagging a 72-37 victory over the Central Eagles thanks in part to Boyd, who dropped a double-double with 38 points and ten steals. Her evening made it 25 games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points.

Another player making a difference was Deianna Walters, who posted 12 points along with six boards and four steals. Walters is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Central, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Monroe will face off against West Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will host Union Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
