Basketball Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

Watertown lost against Huron back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Watertown Arrows fell to the Huron Tigers 57-52. While losing is never fun, the Arrows can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Tigers are ranked 19th).

Watertown has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. The victory was the fifth in a row for Huron, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watertown will head out to face off against Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrisburg will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Watertown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Huron, they will face off against O'Gorman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Huron's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.
