Basketball Recap: Downers Grove South Comes Up Short

Downers Grove South lost against West Aurora back in November of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Downers Grove South Mustangs fell 68-59 to the West Aurora Blackhawks.

Downers Grove South dropped their record down to 12-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for West Aurora, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Downers Grove South and West Aurora should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Downers Grove South (ranked 177th) will meet Leyden (ranked 544th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Aurora will square off against Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 491 places (209 vs. 700).
