While Jackson's victory against Lake wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Polar Bears never let the Blue Streaks get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Polar Bears as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Jackson pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Jackson and Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Polar Bears (ranked first) will meet Stow-Munroe Falls (ranked 238th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake will face off against Rootstown at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (66 vs. 372). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Streaks 3.4, the Rovers 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
