Preview: Accelerate Christian Warriors vs. Holy Cross Crusaders
Accelerate Christian has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Holy Cross Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Accelerate Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
Last Friday, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Accelerate Christian made off with a 48-47 victory over Holy Cross Academy.
Accelerate Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jada Craddock led the charge by scoring six points along with 24 rebounds and four steals. Craddock hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Jaramillo, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Holy Cross' recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their sixth straight loss. They fell 42-30 to Accelerate Christian. Holy Cross has not had much luck with Accelerate Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Accelerate Christian pushed their record up to 12-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Holy Cross, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Accelerate Christian beat Holy Cross 42-30 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Accelerate Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holy Cross turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
