Baseball Recap: Arrupe Jesuit Comes Up Short

Arrupe Jesuit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles, falling 15-5. The Generals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Arrupe Jesuit saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dennis Godoy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave Godoy a new career-high.

Arrupe Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.

Arrupe Jesuit wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 21-2 defeat against Lincoln on the 12th. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they have also already played their next game, a 4-0 win against Clear Creek on the 11th.
