Basketball Recap: Conneaut Area Eagles vs. Seneca Bobcats

Conneaut Area was the 80-30 winner over Seneca when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Conneaut Area Eagles took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seneca Bobcats on Tuesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seneca's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Wettekin led the charge by going 6 for 11 on his way to 16 points and three steals. Wettekin is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Mike Peterson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Conneaut Area now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Seneca, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16.
