Basketball Game Preview: University School of Nashville Tigers vs. Grace Christian Academy Lions

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the University School of Nashville Tigers duke it out with the Grace Christian Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Grace Christian Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on University School of Nashville, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, University School of Nashville was able to grind out a solid win over The Webb School, taking the game 46-37. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Feet are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Grace Christian Academy came up short against The Webb School on Friday and fell 68-59.

University School of Nashville will have to contain Ford Deshazo as he made an impact in Grace Christian Academy's last game. He went 7 for 12 en route to 25 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Deshazo has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ty Gibbs, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

University School of Nashville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Grace Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
