Baseball Recap: Chandler Prep Comes Up Short

After flying high against Arete Prep last Tuesday, Chandler Prep came back down to earth. The Titans fell just short of the San Tan Charter Roadrunners by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Roadrunners: they've now lost three in a row.

Chandler Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robby Hirsch, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Chandler Prep's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for San Tan Charter, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chandler Prep will head out to face off against St. Augustine Catholic at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for San Tan Charter, they will venture away from home to square off against North Valley Christian Academy at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
