Baseball Recap: True North Classical Academy Wins Going Away Against Immaculata-La Salle

There's no place like home for True North Classical Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday. That looming 5-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Titans yet this season.

True North Classical Academy got a great performance from Alex Diaz as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Diaz has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, Misael Uriepero was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Gabriel Mestre also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

True North Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Immaculata-La Salle, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

When True North Classical Academy and Immaculata-La Salle next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. True North Classical Academy will take on Braddock and their nine-game winning streak at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Immaculata-La Salle will try to stop Archbishop Carroll's four-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
