Blue Mountain extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping their season record up to 10-2 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Pottsville Crimson Tide. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Emily Leonard spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Carla Boyer was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Avery Hudock was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Blue Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pottsville only posted an OBP of .167.
As for Pottsville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6. They haven't had much luck with Blue Mountain recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
On Pottsville's side, Jes Siminitus was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Siminitus' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Pottsville will square off against rival Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
