Union Pines and J.H. Rose squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Union Pines had to settle for second. They came up short against the Rampants, falling 3-0. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Union Pines was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-21.

Union Pines' loss dropped their record down to 24-3. As for J.H. Rose, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.
