Softball Recap: New Summerfield Takes a Loss

New Summerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 20-2 to the Alto Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-5 back in March.

New Summerfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Alto, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. New Summerfield is set to take on their familiar foe Douglass at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Alto will square off against rival Apple Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
