Soccer Game Preview: Georgia Christian vs. Southland Academy

The Georgia Christian Generals will head out on the road to square off against the Southland Academy Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Georgia Christian will head out to face Southland Academy after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Generals fell just short of Sherwood Christian Academy by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, Georgia Christian couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Southland Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-3 to Tiftarea Academy.

Southland Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Georgia Christian, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-3.

Everything went Georgia Christian's way against Southland Academy in their previous meeting back in March, as Georgia Christian made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
