West Point dropped their record down to 10-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Middlesex Chargers, falling 7-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Pointers were not able to get on the board.

As for Middlesex, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

For Middlesex's part, Magen Daniels made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 19 over seven innings pitched. Those 19 strikeouts gave Daniels a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.

Daniels wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Courtney Jessie, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Coming up, West Point will host Colonial Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Middlesex, they will head out on the road to face off against Rappahannock at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight.
